Man, we have been blessed with some incredible players on this team. People ask me sometimes (Cough-cough-Wife) why I care so much about this team and I tell her, spend a few games consistently watching them with me and you will start to get it but you won't have anything to compare it to. Watching Hakeem, Clyde, McGrady (in his prime), Francis ' unbelievable athleticism, etc are so incredible you can't help but get excited and stay excited even in down years. It's awesome to be a Rockets fan, good seasons or bad seasons. I love this town and love this team. Harden, should he stick around long-term, will be the first Rockets star my kids will know and I will enjoy their input on this forum as they get older because they are already learning to appreciate the game. It is strange to think that there could be another 2 guard in the history of the franchise that could possibly move Drexler to the bench of the All-Time Rockets Greats but Harden is slowly making an argument to do that and Drexler is watching and supporting. Pretty cool.

Well, how about we do that, then.

At age 25, Clyde Drexler had
    2 all star games
    1 all nba 2nd team
    1 50 win season
    1 playoff series win
    in 5 seasons.

    Clyde 31.8mpg, 18.4ppg, 5.4reb, 5.6ast
    James 32.3mpg, 19.7ppg, 4.3 reb, 4.4 ast.

Harden is definitely Batman and Howard is Robin. After that it get's murkier.
McHale is Alfred. Pablo Prigioni is James Gordon. Helps set up Batman from inside the system but won't take over. Jason Terry is Catwoman. Used to be a villain and when good is good like save the game good, and when bad is like cost the game bad..

It's interesting, though. All of Clyde's major accomplishments took place when he was older than Harden is now.

Yes, and it isn't even a close call. He has surpassed every Rocket except Hakeem.

Speaking strictly about Clyde's time with the Rockets, then yes, he has surpassed. However, I'd feel a lot better about saying that if Harden gets a 'ship.

Moses was a BEAST and outside of Hakeem he's the 2nd greatest Rocket. Period!!!

His 1st season in Houston was 76-77, and he was 21 yrs old.
    76-77 13.5 pts 13.4 reb
    77-78 19.4 pts 15.0 reb
78-79 24.8 pts 17.6 reb (led the NBA)
    79-80 25.8 pts 14.5 reb
80-81 27.8 pts 14.8 reb (led the NBA)
81-82 31.1 pts 14.7 reb (led the NBA)

You don't win in 95 without Clyde, you probably don't even make it out of round 1. To surpass Clyde, Harden needs a long career with the Rockets, or at least to accomplish something great, more than squeezing into conference finals and winning a game.

He's a better rebounder than rodman. Rodman didn't even focus on offense. If moses only concentrated on rebounds then that would be close to 20 a game

    Big Mo says hello

Malone won MVPs, rebounding titles, and took Houston to the Finals

Harden will get there, but he has a few more seasons to go
