All games are on RSSW unless otherwise noted. 5-18 Drew Pomeranz, LHP vs. Lance McCullers, RHP 7:10 5-19 Sonny Gray, RHP vs. Roberto Hernandez, RHP 7:10 5-20 Jesse Hahn, RHP vs. Dallas Keuchel, LHP 1:10
You are very optimistic about Hernandez going against Sonny Gray, who leads the AL in ERA, ERA+, & WHIP.
Well, Sonny Gray, who is having a Cy Young-type year, is pitching against Fausto. I'd be happy with a WLW.
The A's have lost a lot of 1 run games and had an error in 13 straight games or something iirc. Very bad luck for them, lately.
He is due for a bad one. error prone team vs a team that likes to put balls out of the yard. Hernandez has easily been our second to third best pitcher.
Definitely not our 2nd best. Feldman is behind him in ERA, but I feel far more confident in Feldman. So, he is still the #4 for me.
Feldman's FIP is almost a full run lower at 4.04, which is almost exactly in line with his 4.00 FIP over the last 4 seasons. Hernandez's FIP is 4.91, which is actually a little higher than his FIP of 4.75 over the last 4 seasons. He significantly performed better than his FIP last season, the odds he can do that 2 years in a row seems low. The Astros were right to keep him given Obie's injury and the poor performance off all the guys at AAA, so kudos to them for realizing that when guys like myself were complaining about keeping him. Having said that his numbers would still very much suggest he is the same bad pitcher he has been and will likely find his level at some point.
W!W!W!.....easy series for our 'stros. Side note: I'm taking this extremely hot chick on a date there this evening! She has never been to a baseball game Wish me luck fellas! Go 'Stros!
WWW One of the best teams in baseball vs one of the worst I've heard that line several times over the past several years, but it never resonated the way it does right now!
