In the link, the author mentions Crawford being a secondary creator, something the Rockets don't have. Prigioni more than fits that quote, imo. And I don't think Crawford is adept at creating for others, but he can definitely create for himself. Thank goodness we have both Ariza and Brewer. They're going to get tired guarding Redick, Paul and Crawford.
Amazingly, this article is most neutral article I have seen in the media about this series. But, Rockets in 5!
The X-factor this series is Corey Brewer imo. They really don't have a player who can beat his hustle on the break. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/plM4tHcMmmk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
This was the first national article I saw where the analyst actually thought beyond the brainfart conclusion of, "Chris Paul is going to torch the Houston PG's." Come on, people. That's what we have Brewer and Trevor Ariza for! We matched them up on him defensively all throughout the regular season, so it's not like this should be a surprise to anyone actually paid attention to basketball during this time. Unfortunately, not enough of the analysts did. Every time I check ESPN out I have to realize that it's just the product of a bunch of brainfarts.
Nicely written article. Pretty neutral. Jamal Crawford is THEIR BENCH. The guy comes in and looks to score, score, and score. In games that we lost to them, Crawford played big, so whenever he comes in, there should be a concerted effort to guard him, something easier said than done, as he is still a very effective player.
Read an article , saying clippers and Rox have a thin bench, bwahaha , he is right about one of them.
Jamal Crawford is a Rockets killer. If we can nullify their bench and even up some by having Smith and Brewer having big games, then we'll be alright. I think their starting 5 will kill us. Jordan will, at worse, cancel Dwight's contributions out. Griffin will, at worse, cancel anything from Jones. Harden can bring offense, but so can Reddick and CP3. So really, it comes down to the bench. If we let Crawford go wild, then it's all over.
Ultimately the Clips bench of Crawford, Rivers and Big Baby cannot stand with Prigs, Brew and Josh SMith This is a HUGE advantage for the Rockets
And Capela. Serious question though, Spencer Hawes is also on their bench. He's been a pretty good player from what I remember. Is he a "concern"?
That's the first thing Nate Robinson said on the TNT studio show when it was brought up. "Jason Terry won't be guarding Chris Paul."
i'm worried that jordan/dwight will cancel each other out and that cp3/blake will have huge advantages at their positions. a lineup of cp3, jj, crawford would also force harden to play a lot of defense and tire out on offense. they are also more disciplined with turnovers. both teams have the chance of exposing each other's weakness. should be a hell of a fight.
Very good article. One of the keys is TJones. He has to step it up especially on D. Not worried about the others, but TJones has to play big for Rockets to win series
He is still capable of making shots beyond arc. But he will be a defense liability to be exploited for sure.
The Rockets bench is thin relative to themselves at the end of the season with DMo and Bev in the rotation.
Deandre 6'11" 265 lbs. Dwight 6'11" 265lbs. They're the same size but for some reason Deandre does seem bigger.
