I wonder at what point doubt starts creeping into their minds that Buxton will ever be the same. He hasn't been the same since the wrist injury. Jordan Schafer was never the same after a wrist injury. Adam Everett's offense went from serviceable to terrible after breaking his wrist. The wrist injury might not be the problem for any of them, but you never know.
Honestly I am surprised that Buxton is still considered the best prospect in baseball by so many scouts. He has had injury issues and currently is hitting .200 early in the season. I have to think that Correa will pass him up soon. Keith Law said that there are whispers from scouts that believe strongly now that Buxton will never put it all together. It is a minority of scouts but is growing.
Buxton is there because crow tastes awful. So he is going to get a lot of benefit of the doubt. But the day Buxton gets pushed aside as best prospect, i have a feeling he will get the fury of the media and scouts for makung them look silly.

Sounds completely nuts but I think he may end up better than Ripken. I hate to say that but I think it's true. Reading about him, he wants to be great.
Exactly. Nick asked before what his faults were and the only thing I could come up with was "he's just too damn big for a 20 year old". Good problems to have.
Astros out smarted the scouts. Correa was viewed as a 6-10 range pick. Imagine if Correa would be doing this for some other team. we would not hear the end of the ridicule of the Astros incompetence. That is why MLB has been slow to talk of the genius of the Astros 2012 draft showing.
Moran has a 5 game streak, 11-23 with 6 doubles, 12 RBI, 1 BB, 4Ks Correa had another ho-hum game today: 2-4 with a 3B, BB and 2 RBI
Honestly, Im scared to check box scores now because I will genuinely be disappointed if Correa doesnt have an extra base hit. That's the standard he has set for me and what I expect out of him....and I dont want to experience the feeling of seeing a box score of 1-4 with a single and a K. What a let down. The guy is a freaking stud and I love it.
Yeah, i think practically everyone had written him off. there used to be a lot of hype that all but fizzled about 3 years ago. Maybe he locks his spot as a utility guy, or as a value-trade-asset. I still find myself checking his box scores, after his draft time hype.
Just a 3B? I am disappoint. This pick has bust written all over it, let's just lock up this thread fellas. ...dang it, just ruined my day.
