... for an extra $15/month. So, same rate as with Apple TV.

I'm still weighing my options. I want HBO by April 12, but I don't want to pay any more. What to do, what to do.

HBO will be coming to every service within a month or two.

I use Sling, but it's cheaper for me to pay a friend who has a cable log-in like $5 and use HBO via the go app than to do this

Your friend makes you pay to use his HBO Go password?

No, it's just a comparison. If my friend were to charge me, $5 a month would be sufficient in my opinion.

Is anyone getting "this content isn't available" message during the Final Four?

I think it's BS if channels can block content. Time to go back to cable.

The problems aren't that big of a deal for me. It rarely goes out. If you get content not authorized or content not available, a simple channel change and then go back fixes it.

However, with that being said major sporting events do mess it up

Been using it since invites were available. I like. I even pre-paid 3 months in advance to get the free Roku stick offer

Dish's*Sling TV*streaming service got its first big stress test during the NCAA's Final Four games this weekend... and, well, it didn't cope gracefully. The company has*apologized*after Sling TV buckled during the college basketball semifinals, producing errors and otherwise keeping many people from following the action. Reportedly, a combo of "extreme sign-ups and streaming" triggered the meltdown -- Dish wasn't prepared for the flood of new customers, and had to juggle the load across its networking partners to get things back to normal. That's an auspicious sign for Sling TV's future (there's clearly a lot of demand for live sports online), but let's hope that it's better prepared for the next big wave of cord cutters.
