One of the best scripted shows in my opinion. I was fine with the ending and they absolutely made a great choice ending with the "we dug coal together" line. That came up in the very first episode and was a continuation of their love/hate relationship. I agree that Tim was great and deserved more screen time. Duffy was greatness too but he did seem to soften too much over the years. He was a hyper-killing nut in the beginning, then he just became a funny/sarcastic leader with crazy hair, eyebrows, and a tanning bed. Still could have added all of that without making him nicer. I still go back to his exchanges with Raylan, especially with dropping the bullet ("next one will come faster") and then the show having other lawmen loving Raylan's badass use of the line. Also the episode with Alan Tudyk is an all-time one for me for the writing and all of the standoffs. Amazing for me to get that giddy during the show considering it started (with an average Season 1) just as a guilty pleasure diversion/bit of American TV on British Netflix show.
Finished the season last night, great ending to a great show love Tim since Deadwood, hope he picks up something again soon
who was the one, also played the detective on dexter, that used the ice pick. I thought he should have had more than 2 episodes. he probably had other roles though. I thought the asiacano cartel left boyd alone too easily.
That subtlety is awesome. I didn't even see it. That phone number looks real, too. It's not a 555 number, and the area code 606 responds to Kentucky. Someone try calling it.
http://www.ew.com/article/2015/03/26/justified-best-showdowns Fletcher Ice Pick Nix. That's who this reviewer and the showrunner picked as their favorite showdowns.
Can't stand the Ice Pick actor who also played in Dexter, he always seems to try too hard to look tough/cool. Just doesn't seem like an actor that can really deliver on an emotional level, don't know if it's because of his roles and if he's supposed to play them like that. But they lack charisma.
http://auction.screenbid.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/45/ I like the used shooting range targets myself, or some decoration from Boyd's bar.
This was a great show and I hate to see it go, but I am satisfied with the ending. I not sure about a spinoff but I would not mind seeing Raylan come back in a 2 maybe 3 night miniseries. Curious if FX has something else planned for Walter Goggins? Shane Vendrell and Boyd Crouder two of my favorite tv characters in recent history.
