That New Orleans pick is starting to look good.... (FINAL: Will be 18th pick)

Protection is top 3, so we'll get the pick if it's #4 to 19.

If NO wins ALL remaining games, they will get the 19th pick as the worst case scenario. Therefore, we'll get the pick this year.

Finishing 2nd is a lot more important than getting the 14th pick.

If NO's record ends up being better than Washington or Toronto, then it's conceivable (but not likely) that the pick will be 20th (hence not transferred to the Rockets).

 

If I'm right 14th pick probably goes to best record to non play-off team (either Pelicans or Suns)*. Wizards and Raptors will make the PO's.

* - have some small % to get 13th or top3 pick as well

 

Just looked up, no chance to get 13th or worse than 14th pick with best non-playoff record, there is like 0.018% chance to get top3 pick (extremely lucky)

 

At least for now, OKC has an edge with the Blazers win against the Pelicans.

I do want us to beat the OKC Thunder comprehensively though. It would give us more confidence for the playoffs.

I'd be happy with Kaminsky too. He needs to gain 10-15 lbs, but I think a lot of his game will translate to the NBA.

 

No to Kaminsky, we need to trade up to Justise Winslow, Harden in the making with Defense. What is Kaminsky going to play the 4 or 3. He's too slow for the 3 and not big enough for the 4.

 

Sign me up for winslow is game mimics Harden to the core just more defensive minded.
