ended up ordering the white s6 edge through tmobile though i'm on att. bootloader on any other variant is pretty much guaranteed to be locked (they may be rootable later on down the line). vzw and att s5 bootloaders are still locked of i'm not mistaken. sucks that i'll be on tmobile for the next forty days. may opt for a third party unlock service like i did with the s4 that i had for a short time so i can go back to gophone.
I had been leaning towards the S6 Edge... but the more I look at the Sony Z3 the more I am leaning towards that. As usual, Verizon seems to either be slow or oddly focused on weakening its portfolio with a Z3v version (wish A&&T, T-Mobile would have better coverage). The Z's features and customization capabilities would suffice until custom ROMs appear (or maybe even keep me from rooting). The rumored Z4 sounds better, and I would e OK waiting until later this year... but again, I suspect Verizon would find a way to delay or weaken that one too.
it's a pre-order. all major carriers opened it up today. some just have 32 and 64 gigs. major carriers have 128. opted for 64. also some of the non-major carriers won't have the edge. they're supposed to. i'd call in advance.
Thanks. Found it. Trying to decide between Edge and standard. Edge seems like a case would take away from the edge screen, but damn its sexy! Plus they're not waterproof! UGH
just a heads-up... they're shipping these or pretty quickly. got mine today (ordered saturday deliv), so estimated april 10th date is bogus.

That S6 Edge really does look nice. I have to hand it to Samsung this year. They did a great job designing the phone itself. I really like the look of it.
I was more worried about that lag that I saw after it was picked it back up. =P. kidding aside, I can't wait to see videos of the first few attempts to copy this video
sure thing. will type up this evening. should be getting carrier unlock code in another day to use on att. moto x 2014 feels better in hand (edges are kinda sharp), but damn this sucker is pretty and it flys. right up there w/looks as the white n4 imo. touchwiz is pretty unobtrusive this time around.
If its anything like the Note 4, disabling S Voice will massively help with the lag. I love Samsung Phones, but the crappy software they try to shoehorn in the phone has to stop.
