I assume Breshad Perriman just became the top choice for the Oakland Raiders It does add a WR pick to the top 2 rounds if the Texans go OLB in the first.
Tony Lippett is interesting; his Cotton Bowl performance was pretty good. Plus he did double duty as a CB and WR throughout the year. He's got huge hands(9 7/8") and his measurables are eerily similar to Hopkins.

Such a tempting pick. Size, speed, hands. Probably the biggest potential impact player the Texans could hope for in this draft. I just don't see McNair signing off on the pick, especially with other good WR prospects that will be there at that pick. I reckon the best possible outcome would be getting a LB with the first and moving up to get Green-Beckham with the next pick. But again... would the front office make such a move...
Would the front office move up to draft a "certain" QB for what ended up being Sua-Filo and Tom Savage? We'll see...
I'm not sure all it would take to move up for a QB would be a 2nd and a 4th. More like this year's 1st, next year's 1st and a 2nd and 4th. If OB believes in Mariota, I wouldn't hesitate.
I was actually referring to how the Texans did not trade up to draft Teddy Bridgewater for what was essentially Tom Savage and Xavier Sua-Filo. You could argue Sua-Filo could be an impact player someday, but there is NO question that Teddy Bridgewater would have made the bigger impact than both of them combined. With that being said, I don't feel very confident in the Texan's ability to trade for players that they wan't. Just like with Teddy Bridgewater, there were high profile WRs moving during the offseason in trades, and the Texans just sat there with their hands under their ass and didn't make a solid attempt to trade for any of them. We have Cecil Shorts, but honestly, how hard would it have been to trade for a guy like Mike Wallace, Percy Harvin, Kenny Stills, etc? Knowing this, even if Marcus or Jameis fell, I highly doubt that they would trade up in order to select them.
They didn't want Teddy Bridgewater, if there was someone they actually wanted, I'm sure they would trade up for him. They didn't feel like making the future of their team Alex Smith 2.0, I'm sure they were holding out for better.

Meh..... The Texans would have kept AJ had they drafted Bridgewater last season because AJ would be coming off a 1400 yard season. (World explodes)
