Wow! Let me just say what an amazing and fruitful morning we had today. We are so grateful for the community members who showed up to help the Trash Bash Foundation, along with a few Fugro employees and several other volunteer groups, youths, and scouts. We were served both breakfast and lunch, and we also took home 2015 commemorative t-shirt, patches, and stickers from the event. Nice! During our Trash Bash clean-up, we were provided gloves, clawed grabber sticks, trash bags, and recyclables bags. Everyone met at Terry Hershey Park on Memorial Drive. After registration and breakfast, Fugro and Clutch Community were bussed to the park entrance off Wilcrest and dropped off to do our duty cleaning the city. We walked all along Buffalo Bayou, from Wilcrest to Dairy Ashford, picking up anything that didn't belong...from disposed-of bike seats to beer cans to animal carcasses...along with a ton of plastics bags and styrofoam. We were bussed back to Terry Hershey Park for a very filling hot lunch and cold drinks. So awesome! We plan on supporting this event in the future. Now, everywhere we look we want to clean up! I am personally buying a claw grabber for myself so I can collect trash while walking my dog, etc. I mean...why not?! Pictures from today's event will be posted on the Clutch Community social group. Thanks again for those that showed up to support this mission. It was lots of fun, and gorgeous weather to boot. Mr Clutch, you're a rock star! And to my loving husband, thank you for everything you do. Your dreams continue to grow and I'm blessed to be a part of them! Sincerely, RocRouge
Awesome, I wish I could of been there. I had something pop up but will look forward to this event next year and future events in 2015
Here is a little example of what a few people got accomplished in just 2 hours time. Just imagine what a few other people from here could do to make this city a better place to live. Don't Mess With Texas!
