Isaiah Canaan as a Philadelphia 76ers

Players who have topped the 40 point 10 assist threshold. Basically basketballholic thinks Canaan is going to the Hall of Fame.

 

Don't see hall of fame potential in Canaan. I see the potential for him to have a 40/10 game in the NBA.

 

I'm not convinced Terrence will be out of the league in 5 years. I'm also not convinced he'll be in the league in 5 years. 5 years is eternity in professional basketball. It's foolish to be convinced that a player who is in the 60th percentile will still be in the league in 5 years.

 

barring a serious injury tjones will still be in this league. its not foolish at all when you already have an established solid contributor in only his 3rd season. now someone like canaan on the other hand who is still searching for their role in this league, thats someone whose more on the bubble if you're actually being realistic.

 

That means nothing. Any player can go off in the NBA, I mean for christ's sake Brewer went off for 50pts on us.

Yes, probably 80% of the players in the league can get you a 50 if you give them enough shots. But, Canaan has the ability to light up the scoreboard quickly and efficiently and also dish double digit dimes in the process. That is a little bit rarer bread as someone demonstrated above.

 

The flaw in the argument is posters not understanding the short career lifespans of role players in this league. Only a small percentage of role players play in the league for longer than 8 seasons.

 

Canaan is ****ing going off on OKC

 

He has one of the best off the dribble pull up 3pt shot in the nba. Only a matter of time before he finds his groove.
