McHale was a GM and like most NBA GMs he never understood patience of the big picture. His snide remark about flexibility not winning games or scoring and stuff is the perfect quote to demonstrate why most GMs are terrible. Constantly locking themselves into mediocre players because they feel they have to get someone who rebounds or scores points instead of being patient.
