Hmmmmmm... I don't know if I believe ANYTHING sauces says. Probably just Phoenix using this tool to try to drive up the price for Morey.
I've kinda reached the point where I just don't think it's gonna happen. Just hope we get Dwight healthy to have a shot.
Players leave Confrence final team ALL THE TIME. Ariza left the Lakers, Hido left Orlando. The only way folks would laugh at Goran is if the Rockets got to the finals and he leaves for LESS money to the Lakers.
No way Miami does that considering their current state. On the cusp of rebuilding if not there already. Sounds like more posturing efforts by Phoenix. Phoenix would jump all over that if true. Broussard is a mouthpiece.
Is Sarver becoming the worst owner in sports? They just seem so mismanaged for so many years. I can't believe they had success for so many years. They just never seem to know what they want. I love how they expect players not to take things personally but they are allowed to treat players with disrespect and think it is okay? Do what is best for your franchise instead of being a butthurt douche. It is amazing these owners ever set aside the emotions enough to earn money in this world without taking things personal.
The reporters don't care where they get their info from as long as they get it. There are plenty of reasons why Duffy doesn't want Dragic in Houston (Beverley being #1).
Heat are owed: 2015 second round draft pick from Sacramento Sacramento's 2015 2nd round pick to Miami protected for selections 31-49 and 56-60 (if this pick falls within either of its protected ranges and is therefore not conveyed, then Sacramento's obligation to Miami will be extinguished) [Miami-Sacramento, 2/20/2014] Heat owe: 2015 first round draft pick to Philadelphia Miami's 1st round pick to Philadelphia (via Cleveland) protected for selections 1-10 in 2015 and 1-10 in 2016 and unprotected in 2017 [Cleveland-Miami, 7/9/2010; Cleveland-Minnesota-Philadelphia, 8/23/2014] 2016 second round draft pick to Boston Miami's 2016 2nd round pick to Boston [Boston-Golden State-Miami, 1/15/2014] 2017 second round draft pick to Atlanta Miami's 2nd round pick to Atlanta protected for selections 31-40 in 2017 and unprotected in 2018 [Atlanta-Miami, 6/27/2013] 2019 second round draft pick to Minnesota Miami's 2019 2nd round pick to Minnesota (via Charlotte) [Charlotte-Miami, 6/26/2014; Charlotte-Minnesota, 2/10/2015]
Yeah Broussard is totally talking out of his ass. Can't you not trade your first rounder two years in a row? So it would have to be like a 2017 and a 2019. Or am I wrong?
Miami doesn't have their pick this year. Not accepting 2017 and 2019 firsts from a Eastern Conference playoff team isn't really stubborn. Also Phoenix doesn't have roster space so would need to take McRoberts, Anderson or Deng.
The Rockets can match that deal. The NOP pick is virtually guaranteed to be in the lottery(likely 13th or 14th). They also have the Knicks 2nd rounder. Plus they can throw in some quality players like Papa and T-Jones. What would the Heat give up?
Look, if Amick and Woj both say he won't sign with Houston even if traded here and that the fifth year doesn't matter, that's hard to get over. I'd still trade for him as a rental if the price was right, but my offer has shrunk considerably. I definitely wouldn't be offering two first round picks.
Late leverage ploy by Suns getting Sarver involved. It's desperate since it's literally last minute. Suns have known about Dragic wanting out for 3 days and Sarver comes in now? They must be getting crappy offers.
Miami is not rebuilding. That's why they were preparing a lot of cap space for next year free agency...but two first is wayyyy ahead in teh future due to the Steppien rule
I think any aging high level player should be laughed out if they intentionally leave a contender to go play with a lottery team. Maybe that's just me.
