Interesting. Sounds like a backup plan deal, but one that makes sense as long as they are only giving up a pick like the Knicks pick. Kevin Martin's contract runs until 2016/17. Like Ariza's contract its definitely movable if needed, but you really don't want to give up draft picks to get him because you might need them to shed salary in the future if you need to clear salary in the future for a free agent. The move likely moves Harden to the 3 to truly be a Lebron James clone as a facilitator from the 3. There are alot of great things offensively this team can do with the addition of Martin, but they still need to figure something out at PG, or they need significant improvement from Bev/Canaan.
Hey guys, I have some news for you. First of all, I AM NOT AN INSIDER, I am a fan just like you and am looking for any available information, these last few days have been tough, thursday can't come soon enough. So, I'm from Slovenia and as you know it is a very small country (2 million people) and I went to same high school as Goran's wife Maja Dragic (ex Kalamanda). Gimnazija Šentvid 2002-2006, you can google it if you don't believe me. She has told to a friend of mine that: -Miami is willing to offer him max and he wants to go there -he is getting great offers from everywhere (example: Lakers) and he has decided not to settle for anything less than 15 mill/year -He has trust in Pat Riley to put a contending team around him and Bosh -Phoenix wants Luol Deng from Miami and the Heat don't want to surrender him so this is the hold-up This is it. Take everything with a grain of salt, but I believe it is quite accurate and it makes much sense, because knowing Gogi (not personally), he wants to win and he could do that in Miami if they add a piece or two around him, Bosh, Hassan, maywe Wade if he holds up. Plus he would be stupid not to take all the money. As for the Rockets, too bad he probably isn't coming here (I always thought it was a low %), and I really hope we get ty lawson or brandon knight, please no reggie jackson. Peace
That's what I'm wondering. Someone will have to move out of the rotation, and Kevin Martin is not a PG.
I'd be fine with that. He can still score and would give Harden rest. I don't like the extra 3 years on his contract though.
Just got another call - DO NOT KILL THE MESSENGER! Kmart doesnt want to come here #1. #2 Cuban is trying HARD to get K-mart My post was premature
This would be an amazing lineup, but there's no way we keep DMo if these trades were to go down. Lol, welp. Houston snubbed again.
Lol man I want this deadline to end. thanks for all the work you do and the information you give us Cyber.
I like Docs post KM come cheap after minny buyout for sure and Lawson is a better option than Dragic. Im not saying he is a better player but he is younger and is lock with a nice contract. If we have to throw some good assets for Lawson is better than for Dragic.
