D-Mo is too crappy of a rebounder to average over 10 boards across a season.

A guy that is that tall and big should be doing alot more especially with Dwight out and standing next to a 6'8 joey dorsey. Honestly i see him as another Brook Lopez unless he can somehow get stronger. Love Dmo but I'm not going to over rate this guy.

I think if he gets 35 minutes a game he could be a 17 point 8 rebound player.

Lol, yes, more likely... Looking at list OP had there's no way I'd have him that high (top 5 in league or something).

Lol, you know how when a player is really good and he doesn't play on your team but you still know he's a great player? Yeah... uh DMo isn't there yet. It's like on this board everyone gets attached and is a super Homer for some Rockets players. I mean he's good and has potential but he's not taking anyone's starting spot away if he played on a team with some star PF/C. I mean since he can play C too, then maybe he could take a non stars spot, but no way he'd take Anthony Davis' spot or Aldridge's or something stupid like I've seen posted here. I mean sure maybe he could take Lopez/Asik's spot, but is that saying much??

Lol, I think 17/8 are solid numbers, but unless he gets injected with HGH or some magical DNA from hakeem he's not going to be 20/10 or some superstar that averages 25/12 or something crazy.

I think he's a good player and contributes to the team, and could even contribute on a championship team, but he's not this superstar unless he's still playing in a European league... He's great because he doesn't have superstar ego, and can play teamball (knows his spot), I just wish he could rebound a lot better, it's sad watching a smaller guard take the ball from him on the boards...

So basically you think his ceiling is a few more points and a little worse 3 point shooting than he's had over the last month? That's interesting.

Depends really. He really struglles against bigger bodies. He does wonderful against the average power foward, but he needs to continue stronger to really be a top 5 PF in the league. Right now I'd say he's above average, maybe top 12 or top 13

    Anthony Davis
    Black Griffin
    Pau Gasol
    Lamarcus Aldrige
    Derrick Favors
    Tim duncan
    Zach Randolph
    Greg Monroe
    Dirk Nowitzki
    Paul Millsap
    David Lee

I'd say that these players are all better than DMo right now.

As far as his ceiling, I think if he were to get stronger and add a more consistent mid range jumper, which is something required to be an elite big man these days, he can be top 5 in the league. It'll take a lot of work though, it's more realistic to say he'll produce as the 7th or 8th best PF in the league.

Do you honestly think he'll become a consistent 20 point per game threat? That's a bit too much. I agree that 18 ppg is probably the right ceiling for him.

Could he? Absolutely. He's got the rare combination of a really great post game and a 3 point game that's coming along. Will the Rockets run the offense through him enough to get that many points? Probably not. Either way, he very well could end up one of the top PF's in the NBA.

I like the Scola comparison, specially if he improves his mid-range jump-shot.

D-Mo however has better mobility and size then Scola, not to mention he's a better defender, passer, ball handler and has deeper range. Scola however has a more consistent jump-shot.

I think if D-Mo refines his jump-shot, it would open up his offensive game to a whole new level, to where he could easily average 18-22 ppg.

I could see D-Mo averaging 17 and 7 as early as next year, depending how he develops his skills this off-season.

I don't understand this. He has deeper range from where?

D-Mo has three point range (although a bit inconsistent), and Scola doesn't despite having a more consistent mid-range jump shot.

If this is his ceiling why wouldn't we had him for Dragic?

Why are people so stuck on D-Mo needing a midrange shot? I don't get it. He can shoot threes. That serves the same purpose of spacing.
