If you hate McHale..truly, utterly hate him, then you've got some serious emotional- and probably mental- issues. Seek help. Quickly.
Why was DMo being so passive? They kept giving him the ball in the 4th but he kept passing it out to the 3pt shooters who proceeded to miss. What gives with him? While you have the PT, dominate ...
Well, why didn't he attack the defender while he had good post position? I think that's one reason McHale subbed him out. The offense was already dying and DMo was wasting his opportunitoes.
It is a matter of some concern that we didn't play well enough in the 4th quarter. It's going to hurt us, if we can't show consistency when the pressure increases. I am somewhat disappointed in D-Mo's performance in this game.
He had more than that, the stat person missed at least one, I have the game recorded, may go over the stats and make a post. I think they missed a fast break put back in the 2nd half for sure. DD
I was at the game they most certainly missed his 4th rebound. It was late in the 3rd or early in the 4th. I waited for 5 min at the scoreboard but they never put it up their. He got it on a missed shot he grabbed the board went back up with it and got fouled.
Great game overall. Milwaukee has a very under rated young team and if they stay healthy they are going to be a beast in the coming years with Parker and Sanders. DMo's lack (??) of rebounding comes I think is by defensive design. He's almost always the doubler or is the guy on the outside with his hand in the shooters face. Hard to rebound when your attacking the shooter on the outside. One thing I've noticed he's gotten much better at lately is sealing off his man. I'm also thinking that Beverly is so used to forcing his man into Dwight that without a legitimate threat to block a shot, his man is killing him right now. Also as hot as Ariza was in the 1st half, he was that terrible shooting in the 2nd half. He is the poster child of hot and cold. Plays great defense though. To all the trade hounds, NO WAY does the Bucks trade Brandon Knight, NO WAY. He sets everything up for that team and the Greek Freak is legit.
Always good to see the team win... Side note: I would have loved if the Rockets would have traded Parsons for The Alphabet... But at that point and time many people said they would only trade Parsons for LeBron. Lol...
That Guttierez kid is a diamond in the rough. Definitely faster than Pat Bev, better shooter, and quick to steal. Defense, I dunno..
He was with BKN last year and "defense" is all that he is known for. Needs a bit of work but even nick calathes found a job
On the brightside, our offense looked excellent vs a great defensive team. On the downside, our defense looked bad vs the 17th ranked offensive efficiency team (could be due to playing smallball). Harden is a completely different player on offense this year for me. I know there are lots of hype about his defensive improvements this year, but his offensive game has just looked so much smoother this season. His game is alot more polished than it was last year. He seems to be finishing better at the rim even when theres a shot blocker, he's not forcing things, he is a lot better at knowing when to take over, he's trusting his teammates and is just overall smoother. His only flaws on offense now is refining that post up game, getting a better pull up jumper (like coming off a screen he always has that shot, but to me isn't as good at that as he should) and cutting down on turnovers while dribbling. All of these things should be there by next season or after. That Harden will be wow
Well... Harden was banged up for most of the season last year. If I remember correctly he was even banged up in preseason before the regular season started. I think health is a big reason he's doing a lot better this year as well and that shouldn't be overlooked.
Two years ago I went to see a game at DC. I was amazed at how easily he got to the basket. It's almost lie he didn't realize how good he was. I think he knows that no one can really stop him from getting to the basket, there was a time when he was doubled he would take a bad shot or give up. He is much better this year offensively the light bulb is definitely lit.
