With a lot of talk about our own MIP, Donatas Motiejunas, I wanted to see what the general census was here on CFs. So, who to you is the Most Improved Player so far?

I was ready to give it to Kendrick Perkins when he was 2-2 against us last night in the first half.

Barring any setbacks, Jimmy Butler will be MIP.

If green wins DPOY (more possible than you think), he should also get MIP

The way Butler played "D" on Harden when we played Chicago was unreal. Yes, Harden should of gone to the line many, many, many, more times, but Jimmy Butler in that game pretty much convinced me of his MIP status.

The real question is: Will Jimmy Butler come back home at some point in his career?

I like to see it happen. Harden/Butler combo will be deadly.

There really isn't even a discussion. Jimmy Butler has improved across the board.

Demarcus Cousins doesn't have much of a statistical improvement, but he is playing much better this year. He's not a candidate, I just thought i would mention it because I have been a huge critic of his in the past.

It's Jimmy Butler. However, someone you left off the poll that should be on it in my opinion is Markieff Morris. After improving a ton last year, he's built upon that this year and his game has continued to grow.

If there was an award for "Most Improved Behavior" Cousins would win hands down.

I usually am against rising young stars winning this award if there was a reasonable expectation for improvement. I still kind of sneer when I remember Kevin Love and Paul George have recent MIP awards.

But no one expected this Jimmy Butler season. It's truly shocking what he is doing, jumping from "athletic 3 and D guy who couldn't actually hit threes" to "legitimate MVP candidate" even though there may be 3 guys on his team who are 'bigger names'.

Butler hands down. D-Mo has shown a lot of improvement this season, but he doesn't have a prayer of winning the award. Which may be a good thing BTW cuz there seems to be a curse for guys who do get it.

I guess no one has looked at Kobe's stats this year vs last year. It should be a landslide.

Actually, that would be a great joke. I wonder if Kobe would even pick up the award.

I agree, I almost put him up there...just did not for whatever reason. I know there are a lot of players showing improvement across the league, hard to narrow it down. The beauty of the "other" option. ;)

LOL. I'm sure if you asked ESPN, Kobe deserves some sort of accolade.
