I have no clue how any of those assertions inherently mean "racist". There is no way of determining whether his reference to monkeys was towards the physical act being similar to the picture with the monkeys or racist.
There is a long, deep running history of equating loud, uncivil and unintelligent people of all races to monkeys or other primitive animals. The fact that all you can think about is black people speaks volumes of your own shallowness, if not downright racism. I honestly feel bad for how indoctrinated people like you are.
There is no way to determine whether a man who screams "all n***ers are animals!" is racist. After all, we don't know what is in his heart- maybe he really meant "I love black people because they remind me of puppies." Those of us who know better will not silently look the other way and ignore the obvious truth of the matter.
False equivalence. http://www.theroot.com/articles/cul...e_to_monkeys_it_s_worse_than_you_thought.html http://www.authentichistory.com/diversity/african/3-coon/6-monkey/ More regarding rioters: http://ourfuture.org/20141029/rioting-in-black-and-white-from-pumpkin-fest-to-ferguson-and-back http://edition.cnn.com/2014/11/20/opinion/kohn-ferguson-protests/ When black people riot, they are called animals, thugs, a mob. The actions of any minority of violent protesters is smeared to paint the entire group. When white people riot, they are called rowdy, mischievous, booze-filled revelers. There is zero collective accountability.
I love it. You found four internet articles and suddenly nobody else in history has been called animals. Bravo. Oh and please, if you wanted to make fun of the way Patrick Ewing looks, which route would you take? Tell me your best Ewing joke and someone will give you an earful that it's racist. Do you also spend this much energy for the other supposed injustices in our society?
Weaksauce. If any white person has ever been called an animal, in history, ever, then we have achieved equivalence. Another rolleyes here. The links are right there. Just click them. Hell, just the first two. You don't even have to read the whole thing, just skim. Learn something. When I read this I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I'm not fifteen, I don't need to make fun of how Ewing looks. I can just watch clips of Dream destroying him over and over. To complain that one cannot say a black person looks like an ape without being called racist is just... I don't know what to say. It's like southern whites in the 70s/80s complaining that they don't get to say n***er anymore. By "spending energy", do you mean "posting on a basketball BBS"? Are my tiny little posts here too much of a crusade for ya?
Oh yeah... you're right. They are only supposed injustices. There is no long history in this nation of discrimination, dehumanization, and stereotyping of black folks. And if we go back to the 2012 election we have one party admitting they were trying to limit the access of African Americans to the polls. That's just recently. So anyone who complains about any kind of racism towards blacks is obviously off base. What a great point you make.
I would say anyone who cries a river of racial injustice tears because a group of violent and angry looters are being compared to savages is, in fact, offbase and possibly just trolling.
If this is true it just goes to show that the Da's office didn't do there job well at all. http://www.thesmokinggun.com/documents/unmasking-Ferguson-witness-40-496236
I don't see how this is all that relevant, there were a lot of "witnesses" that lied, for this one that might have lied in favor of the officer there are several that lied in favor of Brown. That's the problem with eyewitness accounts, they are often worthless.
I think calling witnesses liars may not always be accurate. They can be mistaken and not actually lying. It doesn't really matter, but not every witness who is wrong is lying.
That's fair though some were actually lying and they fessed up to it when they found out that the story they initially told was proven impossible. It's important to draw that distinction though, some tell what they think to be the truth and it just ends up being wrong.
Unless it on cam and they still get no billed shows that the system is flawed .We as the people have to make all accountable for the processes of the Nation.
It was "the people" who decided not to indict.....or did you forget that? Just because you don't agree with what they decided doesn't mean the system is broken.
Here's just another piece that shows a little more of what i've been trying to get you to understand when i say that the system is broken.http://www.myfoxhouston.com/story/27645689/ft-bend-police-prosecutors-accused-of-abuse-in-swat-incident
I never said that abuses by cops and prosecutors don't happen, they do. However, that doesn't mean that every single incident is an abuse by a cop or a prosecutor.
And i can agree with you on that and that's why you see protest daily but there are always going to be some people who like to make trouble for those that are trying to stand for something that needs change.
The problem is that the people who want to protest pick the wrong cases to champion and it destroys their credibility.
Even when there are creditable cases and protest happen some feel that they are wrong for feeling the way they do for standing up for a just cause.
