Ariza has been playing the most minutes lately, so this will really help him out. Hopefully, a little rest can help him regain his three point touch.

I'm happy that we actually have someone who can finish on breaks. Tired of seeing Ariza, Johnson, Beverley, Kostas, Canaan miss layups on fastbreaks.
A portion of the Lin TPE will be left over. It could change depending on whether or not another team picks up Turiaf. Right now, assumption is both Brewer and Turiaf are acquired with portions of the Lin TPE. Per Woj:

If Turiaf ends up in Houston, and Daniels is only outgoing player, that means Rockets will only have $2.17M remaining of the Lin TPE...
— David Weiner (@BimaThug) December 19, 2014

As a Timberwolves fan, I think this is a good move for both teams. Corey Brewer is a solid starter and will be a good 6th man player at a decent price. He is not a great shooter, but it really good and transition and good at finishing, which fits well with the Rockets fast pace style. Plus IIRC he went off for like 50 against the Rockets last year. Rockets didn't have to give up anything major for him, but it's not like the Timberwolves had any big plans for him in the future. A few 2nd rounders and a good young shooter is a solid acquisition for a player that was on his way out anyways.
Poor guy. He's been really forced into a tough situation cuz of the injuries. I can't imagine where this team would be had Parsons been on the roster instead and been forced to pick up that kind of slack.
Thx, but I was under the impression that the trade exception can't be combined with another player? In thus case, Daniels. Or am I missing something?
This chart is pretty useless. He's played PG, SG and SF but not PF in Minnesota. Clearly selected to make him look bad. Also... Per 48 minutes?
Rather stoked about the Brewer pickup. Lanky defender with a team first attitude that can hit the corner 3 is always a welcomed addition. Can't see it taking Corey very long to fit in with this group.
Love the fact the we just acquired another ex-Mav. He played with Dallas the year they won the championship.
2 separate transactions to make it legal I would guess. Daniels for turiaf 2 2nd rounders for brewer who fits into our exception
