 Thanks Cyberx though I'm sure if OKC packaged a 2nd Rounder unprotected with Durant Morey would include Dmo in a trade.......
Rondo's stock really bottomed out. Look at it like this, EVERY team in the NBA knew that he was available. Ainge did a good job of making it obvious. Yet the best offer that the Celtics got was from the Mavs, an offer that the Rockets could have easily matched and didn't. That tells you Rondo isn't thought of the same way he was a few years ago. For Wright, the Celtics can get a #1. The problem is, most likely that #1 is from a contending team and it isn't all that special. Still, it is an asset and you accumulate them and eventually you get an Allen or KG or Harden fall in your lap.
Or maybe the scout he asked was basketballhollic on one of the days he IS an insider and DOESN'T like DMO. Ask him again tomorrow.
CLE, HOU, GS in my opinion are most likely landing spots for Brandan Wright. Don't know who else would be interested. GS could send their pick but they'd have to send out salary. Perhaps their pick plus David Lee and Justin Holiday for Brandan Wright and Gerald Wallace? That deal makes a lot of sense for both teams if Celtics want to move Wright. CLE really doesn't have a first to send out for Wright. And you know the picks we've got.
No. Morey put a valuation of Rondo and that was his offer. Rondo would be a Rocket right now if Morey wanted him to be. The Rockets had a number of assets that he choose not to include in trade talks for Rondo.
Trey - do me a favor and just do a stat comparison for yourself and let me know your thoughts on it after doing some good research. You know I like and respect you. Check it out.
Many of us do not think of D-Mo as more than a valuable role player, who needs to have a consistent year. It took Jordan Hill a long time to become a productive player. D-Mo will be ok.
