    As they should.... 16-1 to 8-1 is a significant jump. Everybody realizes the value that Rondo brings and they didn't have to give up much to get him. Dallas is desperately trying to win a championship NOW while Maury has "flexibility."

    That's a good trade for Dallas. They lack depth now, but Rondo will more than make up for it. I don't consider them better than the Rockets, but Mavs definitely will be a lot better now.

    Can't believe that's all it took to get Rondo. I have to say that I'm disappointed DM didn't make a stronger play for him
    Really would have liked to see how he would have performed with a guy like Dwight.

    Oh well. Facts are facts, and the Mavs traded trash+a 1st round pick for a stud defender/rebounder/assist man/penetrator.

    They're gunning for a championship, and we're waiting on "flexibility" to produce.

    This is what I've been asking. Ellis and Parsons are already averaging several assists above their position thanks to Dirk in the P&R and Carlisle's system. What's the point of putting the ball in Rondo's hands and having him try to create offense on top of that? At best he'll get his 10-12 and Ellis/Parsons will lose a few.

    Because their defense isn't that great and Rondo is also a lock down defender. This trade worries me. As if the West wasn't tough enough.
