Okay, I get the love for the Warriors, I do but the love for Klay Thompson just because he can shoot along with Curry being ridiculously good he's deemed best 2-guard in the league (blind fandom) and now this?!? Just because they are the 'splash brothers' does not mean they are the best. I can think of a lot of backcourts who are better, from the top of my head: - Penny and whoever was beside him over the years - Magic Johnson & whoever was beside him over the years - MJ & whoever was beside him over the years - Stockton & Hornacek - Kenny Smith & Drexler - Kenny Smith & Vernon Maxwell (defense counts) - Muggsy Bogues & Kendall Gill - Kevin Johnson & whoever was beside him over the years - T-mac & whoever was beside him over the years Am I crazy or is this backcourt overrated as hell??
Dude, they are 21-3, and two of the losses are to the grizz (21-4, second best record in nba) and the defending champions. I'd say they have a point.
I think the backcourt duo of John Wall and Bradley Beal will be the best in the league by next year. Wall is really coming into his own as possibly the best, or top 3 atleast, PG in the NBA, while Beal is coming into form after missing some games.
The only backcourt that I think could rival them is: chauncey billups and rip hamilton, and isiah thomas and joe dumars. Maybe Run TMC can get in there.
isiah thomas and joe dumars was the best ever, they've got a long way to go Magic and Scott are probably #2, with Porter and the Glide at #3
Definitely those 3 would be better. You think none on my list are better than them though? Their whole team is playing well, it's not just Curry and Klay.
Walt Frazier + Earl Monroe Magic Johnson + Byron Scott Jerry West + Gail Goodrich Isiah Thomas + Joe Dumars John Stockton + Jeff Hornacek Michael Jordan + Ron Harper Russell Westbrook + James Harden Tony Parker + Manu Ginobili Rajon Rondo + Ray Allen Steve Nash + Joe Johnson Golden State's Own Tim Hardaway + Mitch Richmond And to me, most interestingly, one might make the case that if Curry had been healthier back when, Curry + Monta Ellis would have been better.
Okay. That's crazy talk! Also, if the Warriors win 70 games and the championship this year, I'll be willing to give them the nod. But until then, I'm definitely leaning towards either Walt and Earl or Isaiah and Joe.
