He trimmed it this week to a reasonable length. http://blog.chron.com/ultimatetexans/2014/11/ryan-fitzpatrick-regains-role-as-texans-starting-qb-shaves-beard/
Zach Mettenburger has been looking promising but J.J. and the boys do great against young quarterbacks. Foster should be back too. Should be an easy victory.

If Arian is so injury prone .. . .we might wanna look to Murray in Dallas. . . if Petersen is intent on playing there. Rocket River
These games aren't as exciting anymore with Fitz back at the helm. I personally won't be excited for another game until Baltimore, and that is assuming we beat Indy at home. Mallet would have been intriguing because you saw a big league arm with control of the offense. But then again, is a torn pec an excuse to throw last game out of the equation? I think so. Texans are a snake-bitten franchise. If Fat Albert didn't blow up Schuabs foot, they would have won in 2011.
You keep holding on to that dream tmacfor35... The Texans never beat New England with Schaub so I don't know why Texans fans are so confident they would have beat New England with him. May not have gotten pass Baltimore with the game plan Kubiak was running. He went away from running the ball in the Baltimore game.
I always felt that Kubiak was one or two tweaks away from being a winning coach but He just too stubborn . . .. he wanted to WIN HIS WAY more than he simply wanted to WIN Rocket River
Hell YEAH I am holding on to it. The Texans were a dominant team that year. Schaub was a much better QB before that injury. That team would have roughed Baltimore up.
When you have a bad franchise. You really need to grasp at straws for happiness. The Texans drew the short end of the stick, and the Indianapolis Colts must be giving the football gods blowies.
Yeah it kind of sucks. I was Mallet still had me excited to see what the kid had.....but damn. I might actually be productive on my day off on Sunday for once, perhaps go with my little lady to the park with the dogs or hit up Brazos Bend State Park.
Really not excited for this game. We're clearly an improved team, but I don't feel this team is any closer to being a SB contender then we were after last season. Luckily Texas and UConn play Sunday so there's that to distract me.
Yeah I'm really looking forward to that Longhorns v Huskies game. First real test of the season. As for this game......bleh. Hopefully Colt and the Redskins pull the upset over the Lucks so the season isn't officially over.
I get excited for EVERY Texans game! I expect the Texans and a fresh Amish Rifle to eke this one out, much to the consternation of everyone (almost) else.
