Nick Johnson will be the backup point guard that is a position they're playing him at in summer league
I haven't gotten to watch much preseason. What position is Johnson filling more? Is he a legitimate backup PG option?
I like him, He's athletic, he hits shots, passes try's on D. He has a little ways to go but I see the potential. Smith is good but can't hit an outside shot to save his life, Canaan can put the ball in the basket but really seems to ruin the flow on offense, Johnson is a nice overall player but I'm not sure if he's quite ready.
I think he's a pretty good defender given his lack of experience, a decent shooter, and the closest thing we could get to a playmaker behind Harden. Man it's a shame Canaan got hurt. He was our only other guy that could create.
Could end up being better than Terry too by the end of the year if he gets enough minutes to get comfortable.
I agree with you. He's already a better defender, and TD doesn't seem to have his 3 stroke this year.
Dunno whether he's ready but honestly I am perfectly fine with giving Garcia's reps to Daniels, Johnson or Pap in the hopes that one of them will be able to contribute real playoff minutes.
Time to start Nick Johnson. This is what he is up here from the DLeague for, no? He got called up when Beverley got hurt. Why? Because we might need him to play in ace one or more of the guys in front of him goes down. Well, Canaan got injured, so it is time to use Johnson.
Nick Johnson is going to add to Morey's list of 2nd round gems. You can count on it! The only question is will McHale be able to see greatness if it's right in front of his eyes.
He's on the roster cause we have two inactive players and we want 13 instead of 12 in case of freak accidents.
From what I've seen, he has ability and talent- but it seems like he's looking to get his, not to mention a lack of court vision. I don't think he is much of a PG
Toney Douglas?! Haven't heard about him in a long time. I know u are talking about Troy Daniels
