Impressive, but he's guarded by a TE in a lot of those. The TFL's are nice but I wouldn't really say it makes his performance pro bowl worthy. He could get the DROY though because Clowney didn't play much.

No one said Clowney dominated last year. They said he played well despite the lack of sacks, but certainly no "domination".

well, Anthony Barr is playing good too in Minnesota, and I think C.J. Mosley is playing better than Mack so I think Mosley wins DROY.

I forgot all about C.J. Mosley, for sure he'd get it over Mack.

Oh gosh Nick... Stop being such a dxxk. And Sammy Watkins was the guy I was advocating the Texans should draft to replace AJ by the way... So if you're going to call me out, get it right sir...

Nick disagrees with that... So according to Nick, all Clowney has done for the most part is solidify the red flags he had coming into the draft. As of now, Merle Hodge was right about Clowney and Mack. But at this point I'm thinking the Texans should have traded back. CJ Mosley or Arron Donald would look awfully good on this team and they would have two 1st round picks in next year's draft.

But I agree with you, 10 games isn't enough... I guess 3 games in Clowney's case though.

    Oh wow... Beast.

Many people were running around here deep throat'n Clowney before the draft so they are going to make every excuse under the sun for him. As a Texans fan I hope Clowney can live up to the hype and justify his draft pick...

So were the NFL draft Gurus.

Clowney is a physical freak. Of course we are going to make excuses, because he has some to go off of.

he played great in the preseason in limited snaps against 1's and got hurt.

He is coming off a knee injury. Give him time to get established.

Those draft gurus don't actually work for NFL teams you know... And the physical freak tag could be put on guys like Mack and Donald as well (especially Donald)...
I remember you particularly saying something along the lines that Clowney would be as good as J.J... I hope your right.

    I never said he would.

I said that he had the talent to be.

I doubt he has the heart, but if he finds that aspect.

    Then look out.

Which is what "because Clowney didn't play much" implies.

They have one win; I'll take my chances with Rick over whatever Oakland does

Take your chances between the duos though?

Clowney's 1st year is currently a BUST, and reinforced many of his pre-draft red flags. Carr outplayed Fitz. Filo barely plays.

    Thank goodness Mallet shows promise.
