All jokes aside, I thought it was interesting that the arena was built in 2012 and cost about as much as Toyota Center, especially considering last year's smoke incident.

Yeah u must not know anyone who is Mexican. If u did then they would vouch that the money immediately makes it to the governments pockets and it is also true the cartel and government work hand in hand. The government officials will go over to the stadium owner and start making up fines until he agrees to giv them a huge bribe. The stadium owner will see very little profit.
lol at the overreaction. yall live in Katy? People think all parts of Mexico are that bad. You really think that the NBA is going to put their players at risk by letting them play somewhere where they could get their head chopped off? Yes, there are horrible parts of Mexico where some shady **** can go down, there are also safe places to visit in Mexico.
I remember a game in Mexico City where Charles Barkley threw his shoes into one of the loudest crowds I have ever seen and they went nuts. It was a cool experience. All for it.
Ok, so it gets there faster...still doesn't mean we are any more directly giving them money than if we buy their goods.
Kinda sucks for the T'Wolves that this is considered a home game for them considering the fans in attendance will probably be more inclined to root for the Rockets.
