So we started 12, something tells me Houston doesn't get much credit for our first 3 wins. My money is on 8 or 9 in the new ranks, I guess they might surprise me. 2nd best point differential and #5 in both offensive and defensive efficiency is a good start though.
It's stein and stein hates the rox on top of being an idiot. We'd prolly be 7ish, tho we've had blowout wins against each opponent, while other teams 'ahead' of us bare beat LA, or put up 71 points in a win.... And blow 5 point leads with under a minute to play, twice.....
It is funny how the media is mourning about a possible Bosh and Parsons tandem but we as fans have moved on ages ago. Trollolol
I've never understood why people care about power rankings. It's one guy's opinion, who really cares?
3 games in against scrub teams, I wouldn't rate us top 10 yet, however, there really shouldn't be any Power Rankings at this stage. Mavs should be in the same boat as us.
Rockets might end up last unbeaten team. It will be interesting to see where the pro sports media ranks them if that happens.
If we were #12 before Week 1, we should definitely move into the Top 10 after going 3-0 with all 3 wins being blowouts. The Clips shouldn't be ahead of us. They may be 2-1, but they've looked weak and unmotivated. Neither should Portland who are 1-2. And the Thunder in no way should be ahead at 1-2 without Durant and Westbrook.
Exactly, it's just another cheap way for them to sell stories, get people talking about what it says and.... What's that? ..... Make money, since it is just another business after all. People think they are talking about their own personal spiritual salvation when it comes to others opinions of their sports teams. Its like people are cast under a spell with this crap and just get sucked into the insanity.
^^^ Pure nonsense! Marc Stein is an infidel and must be castrated! Spoiler I'm halfway serious and halfway not serious... ....... ....... .......
I'm pretty worried about this game on Tuesday. Bosh is going to destroy Jones. If they can beat them though, they'll probably be the last undefeated team.
Marc Stein sometimes tries his hand at equanimity; his recent article on how Dallas acquired Parsons wasn't too biased. At the same time, he's not above fomenting a little scrum (real or imagined) between Cuban and Morey: "I wanted to kick his ass." "He got Chandler; I got Dwight and Harden, so who won?" But in Stein's heart he's a Mavs fan, first and foremost. Like a few weeks ago when he interviewed Daryl Morey. Stein had to spit Cuban's **** out of his mouth ("ptooey! excuse me for a second, Cubes") before asking, "Daryl, you've had a bad summer, it didn't go the way you wanted, you're standing in the detritus of a team that could have been awesome, now you'll be lucky to carry Memphis' jockstraps....where do you go from here?" And Daryl can't stoop on camera to tell him what to go do with himself: "Well, I don't know on what planet you've been living, but I don't see it the way you do..."
Should the Rockets really get a lot of credit for those wins? I mean, it's nice to win back-to-backs on the road, but I don't know if that's enough to justify a jump from 12 to 5 (for example) in their power rankings.
I think the jump would be more about Ariza looking like a better fit than Chandler. If people are buying into that there is no real reason to think the Rockets shouldn't be a 54 win team again.
