Harden and Ariza out late partying, stumbled into hospital drunk - following a nurse. Saw Randle and pretended they were visiting him.

They probably meant this morning, as in 1 am.

They both probably stayed at harden or Arizas LA home. Woke up and saw him. Hopped on a plane to Utah. 45 min flight?

Hey, if Dwight wanted to head directly to SLC so he could get up early and practice his free throw shooting, that's fine by me.

Are players allowed to fly on their own? I'm pretty sure it's mandatory that all players and staff fly together.

LAX->SLC is a pretty short flight actually, so I do think it's easily possible they visited him after the game and before getting on their flight.

If you want to see the deadest city ever, try SLC at 3 a.m. by the way.
(Not that there's anything wrong with that; love me some sleep.)

how true is this? the rockets have a game in utah tonight and per nba rules, teams are not allowed to arrive on game day. they always fly in the night before at least.

Yeah, it's mandatory that they fly together and the night before the game. Stiff penalties for any day-of travel.

The "morning" explanation meaning midnight or 1 a.m. is plausible, though.

I didnt realize that the injury was so bad. I hate seeing injuries, even to opposing players. Hope he makes a quick recovery.

I don't know if it would have been physically possible to leave LA by midnight. That game started late, it's possible they stopped by on the way to the airport? It said Wed morning, could have been like midnight. Then straight to the plane?

You're right though, even a phone call. Didn't notice that McHale called that timeout, that was classy too.

According to the Rockets, they feel terrible for Randle and hope for a speedy recovery, but Harden and Ariza both boarded the plane last night after the game and did not visit him in the hospital. Maybe there was a phone call or something else... I'll see if I can find out more.

It's ok Clutch, I figured it out. It's LA - down by the Hollywood boulevarde there were Harden and Ariza impersonators. And so the story spread.

Meanwhile, Kobe told Randle that "You have a great trainer in Gary Vitti, the top surgeons and the best physical therapists. So if you screw up this rehab then you are really the biggest idiot."
