We should already be desensitized by the national media coverage on the rockets. Even Feigen has Mavs at number 4 on his power rankings, I don't get the hype with Dallas.

My bad, Feigen has Mavs at 6, ahead of golden state, Houston and Portland .

I'm happy that the media has continued to s*** on our players. All summer I was arguing on social media, debunking false rumors about team dinners and leadership and for what? Now i'm so used to it I couldn't care less. I definately believe that Harden is going to show and prove this year. As for Dwight, I don't think he's every going to be the player he could be offensively but we don't need him to be. Hopefully by next year we have enough pieces around H&H to shut all these idiots up. Until then it's time for our guys to show and prove, if they do that who cares what the media says

Why ESPN gets the attention it gets is a mystery to me. I think they do a mediocre job of covering the NBA. Their "experts" blithely spout opinions as if they are facts, and some of them are smart enough to know better, which tells me that they are following the directions of the ESPN producers, which is to create controversy whether true controversy exists or not. All they (ESPN) care about are the ratings, and it doesn't matter if it's from those that think they're full of it, or from those deluded folks who buy everything they hear from ESPN's talking heads, the guys following the corporate line so they can get that nice check. It's why I admire guys like Jeff Van Gundy, who says whatever he thinks without the "filter," and could care less about the producer prepping him before a show.

This "story" says far more about the bankrupt NBA coverage from ESPN than it does about Mr. Howard and Mr. Harden, two guys any GM in the league would love to have in their starting 5, in my humble opinion.

If I had EVER read a Michael Wallace tweet that made me think "solid point" I would be more upset right now.

It's like he gets paid to tweet despite saying nothing useful...

Houston was a 4 seed that lost to a 5 seed in 6 games on a last second shot how is that "humiliating?" And Howard and Harden have both been to the NBA Finals. I'm willing to bet that if Harden had stayed in Oklahoma City and Howard had stayed in LA they would be singing their praises.

What is there not to understand? Of course they are not saying Kobe Bryant's career is overrated. They are saying Kobe of today is overrated because of guys like you who expect him to be 5 time champion Kobe of the past.
