Canaan is an offensive dynamo that will wreck in this league for many years to come. You can see this one coming a mile away. He may never be a good defender. I don't know what he'll become on the defensive end. But it has been very, very clear to me since I watched him last season that he was a big time NBA offensive player. He's the kind of player that can simply destroy a defense because of his ability to jack from almost mid-court and his ability to split the double and take it to the rim and finish with contact. He's going to get even better offensively. If we trade him (along with other talent), we'd better be getting a major star back.

And I'm pretty sure that's what happens. Either he becomes a major piece of a trade for a superstar OR he stays here and becomes a primo playmaker/scorer taking over when Harden is out of the game.

I loved the reaction of the bench and the crowd when Canaan hit those shots.

Dorsey looked beyond horrible. First time I was able to watch a whole game this preseason. Maybe it was just a bad game but he looked like he never played bb, like ever.

Lol. You noticed that too. Exact Harden plays. Stretch the floor and Iso in. I was loving it. The dude took over when it counted during clutch time.

With that said.......We need bigs so trade Capela for a pick to free up a roster spot.

The kid is 2-4 years away from being ready.
This team needs veterans who know how to win.

Yes, it was. But that won't work in the regular season. This was the last game of preseason and the Spurs weren't playing to win or matchup or anything really besides looking at guys. While Terrence looks phenomenal in this setting playing the 5, he will get totally ate up by the opponent 5 if McHale tries to run this super-small lineup out in the regular season.

We've already seen Terrence at the 5 last season. He isn't going to grow 3 inches and 40 lbs. He can't even hold 4's. He's even worse trying to hold 5's.

They can switch to a matchup zone and protect the paint. Therefore protect T Jones. On offense its a very difficult group to guard. :grin:
