I think when they compare guys playing the same position they usually give a the edge to the guy who scores more per game.

Parsons pretty much dominated Batum in the play-offs. Parsons also dominated him in the last two games of the regular season and they basically played even in the first two games of the regular season.

So dirk is a year older at age 36 and he moved up 9 spots and is better than all of 16 other players??

I hope the mavs get a rude awakening this year. I don't want dirk to get injured I just want him slow down substantially. Good riddance

Bosh has to really start scoring but I think he should be put over Dirk

That should be motivation to be that guy on the Heat now.

Well he did average 4.4 points more points than he did the previous season, basically the same amount as assists/steals/blocks and only 0.6 less rebounds. He was 0.003, 0.002 and 0.001% away (FG%, 3P%, FT%) from another 50/40/90 season. He definitely had a much better season last year than the year before and got back to his previous all-star level. No reason to complain about him getting a better ranking as well. If a player improves, he gets a better ranking. That simple. You shouldnt include age when talking about a player's current ranking. Because that's what this is, a current ranking, not for the next 5 years and not a ranking who you should start a franchise with right now.

The only person who's assessment I would take on who the top 20 players and respect how he ranked them is Morey. Everyone else just drops opinions. Morey drops stats. Stats no one else has even thought to measure.

Lillard, Nowitzki, Wall, and Bosh. Aside from Cousins, that entire set is an overrated lot that's probably worse than the players ranked 20-30. Cousins is probably a guy that should be pushing for the top 10 by the end of this year.

I know it's only preseason, but he's had a ridiculous number of TOVs so far. He's probably going to be double and triple teamed w/o Thomas around.

    #11 ???
    #12 ???
    #13 Aldridge
    #14 Marc Gasol
    #15 Tony Parker

    ----------------

My predictions for the rest of the rankings

Lebron, Durant, Griffin, Curry, Westbrook, CP3, Dwight, Carmelo, Harden, Noah, Davis, Love

There is potential for Melo to drop out of the top 10 and Noah only makes it because of his DPOY campaign

Also, Lillard over Bosh is horrendous

Noah is so massively overrated because of "leadership" and "hustle" over actual skills. He's obviously a great player, but if he was somewhere like Orlando or Minnesota, he wouldn't get near the hype he gets in media-darling Chicago.

Well, part of the hype is everyone's hard-on for big men doing unconventional things: Love's 3PT shooting, Dirk's one-legged fadeaway, Noah's passing ability, Griffin's handles, etc. NBA twitter had a collective orgasm when Pau signed with Chicago for that very reason.
