He needs to bulk up. He is no way ready for the nba. He will be broken before the season begins. He will go on a special diet and should be ready by next season.
Not to mention big men as young as he are often not ready to play any kind of significant minutes despite everything else.
If by special diet you mean two burritos for every meal then yes they'll be putting him on a special diet in RGV.
I hope we get to see this kid. May not have been the plan to have him come over right away, but I think he could find a spot on this team. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/a0Z35aXdpdU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
He forced his hand so you have to adjust your strategy accordingly. They should be pushing his development to make up for the lost season of free development. You can't just ignore it now. They may already have him working with people to specifically develop his game and prepare him for the dleague season.
He's 20, he is a non issue in every which way. The only thing that is certain is that he suffers from premature ejaculation because that iswhat 20 year old kids do well. When Dirk was 20 he avg 8 points on a terrible Dallas team, doesn't get any lower than that and he is a hall of famer. Lets see how Capela does in the D league instead of on the bench in the NBA. There was no expectation from him when he got drafted.
He has not played yet. He will be D-League bound. The only way he will play for the Rockets this season is if he shows consistent good outings for the Vipers.
-get to know the #30 pick of the draft the spurs picked up. He was 46% from 3 PF his last season at UCLA that the spurs picked up. -seems like black undrafted is everything we would want capela to be -simmons even said he knew morey was picking capela because of flexibility with contracts, thinking capela will not come over so we could have money to chase melo. -it was a easy pick to me from the couch, a stretch 4 who could dribble, pass, move without ball, smart, system player. I could see this guy really helping McHale with plays. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/7P4Z7b560ec" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
so you think capela will contribute more ? i'll go as far as ed davis on vet min deal is better, and capela would be a 2nd round pick if it wasn't for morey.
I am cool with him learning the US game this season... approaching this as a redshirt season. He looks like a basketball player, and plays above the rim, both offensively and defensively. We need one of those.
Anderson wouldn't have even sniffed the 12-man this season. Although he can hit the 3, he's awful in transition, TO prone, and can't defend. He would've knocked about 3 years off Mac's life. Capela has the potential to be a great rim-protector & PnR finisher. Most importantly, he's far more enticing on the market.
