I think you guys are missing the difference between fat and over playing weight. He didn't "let himself go" as some of y'all are implying. He did the opposite. He worked out a crap ton and put on muscle mass. He can lose it once he starts more cardio. Y'all be crazy.

^ It's just a joke, i think everyone knows he didn't let himself go. Still you don't gain 20 lbs of pure muscle over the summer (especially if you are already built), some of it is definitely fat and can get burned off.

I didn't read 6 pages worth of this thread because I didn't think there was much to discuss about this. He'll just lose it in a month, or so, as he plays more and more...However, Parsons posting that picture and caption just shows his immaturity again. I know he's trying to silence "haters" but the vet move is to just ignore it and do your job. Now, if the Mavs were accusing him of being fat and the media was running with it, then I'd understand the need to show America your abs, but that's not the case. Everyone involved understands it's a weight, and not a fat, issue. Chandler just can't take the comments from fans.

It could be done but more than less likely naturally. You need an additional 3000 calories a week over your maintenance to gain one pound. That's only an extra 400-500 calories a day roughly. That would put you at 12 pounds after 3 months with everything being equal. Now depending on how much you workout that 12 pounds is going to be come combination of lean mass/fat.

water weight retention can account for 5 pounds easily. When I started my insulin for my diabetes, my body started retaining water the first week and I gained about 5 pounds in water retention. After two weeks, that went away.

Oh you can definitely add 20 pounds over 3 months, but if you do it naturally you've now got fat to cut. Not a big deal if you're just messing around but probably unacceptable for a pro athlete. Can't trust any of these guys about body fat or lbs anyway.

The fact that he just disagrees his coach should be troubling to Mavs favs.
