He wanted Aldon Smith instead. We got lucky on Watt.

Yep, Aldon himself said that the Texans had made it clear that he was their guy if he made it to their pick.

We almost screwed the pouch on that one, good thing he didn't make it... Usually the best defensive player in the draft is the guy you don't see coming. But J.J. did have some freakish combine #'s.

The 2011 draft class is very good

    Newton
    Darius
    Kapernick
    Watt
    Von Miller
    Tyson Smith
    Aldon Smith(pre mental breakdown)
    Quinn
    Patrick Peterson
    Sherman
    Julio Jones
    AJ Green
    Kerrigan
    Little pouncey
    Julius Thomas

There are more guys but I can't think of any

That was awesome. It was written by that chick who didn't vote for him. Mad props to her for eating crow and totally calling herself out.

    Favorite part...

Lol, I thought the same thing. If ibhad written that, the officers and firefighters would have been like, "What the hell does this say? Screw it, we got pizza!!"

    Well played, Mr. Watt.

I'm sure this had something to do with Ferguson?

HPD and HFD. He included the Fire Department, so doubt it. Do you really think Watt is trying to make a political statement by ordering pizza?

Not a political statement at all. I think he was trying to show appreciation because he sees others around the country bashing them.

I don't think he'd ever use his profile to make a political statement.
