yeah he's been pretty bad. can't dribble, defend, rebound....and he doesnt make 3s like daniels or canaan either.
Must be another team showing interest in giving him a shot for him to get waived this early. The guy has a great stroke, and if you don't need him to handle the ball much, can definitely play the 3, and the 4 some. Sort of reminds me of Dorell Wright. Hope he gets picked up somewhere in the East where he can get some PT. Should be a solid NBA journeyman when its all said and done. Good find last year, but never really found minutes for him. Good luck Bob.
The trade is likely just to get rid of his $150k guarantee. I doubt we get more than a heavily protected 2nd for him.
expected after we signed KPap Howard/TJones/Ariza/Harden/Beverley - you don't cut their starter DMO - our 6th man and tallest player KPap/Capela/Johnson - you don't cut your rookie so fast Garcia/Terry - veteran Canaan/Daniels - 3pts specialist that's 13 between Adrien, Black, Jorsey not sure who to cut haven't see Dorsey play yet but can Adrien, Black, or DMo play backup C?
He was M.I.A in summer league...he missed his chance so it was only a matter of time...He was great in the D-League but for whatever reason his game never transferred over to the NBA
Cov was a good sign and showed promise. He regressed from last year this summer. The writing was on the wall.
Whether it's a heavily protected 2nd round pick or a small TE we acquire for Covington, Morey still turned nothing into something. I love that man.
he's an awesome guy to talk to when I met him at Summer League, got a pic with him, waved over Canaan to take a pic with us too wish him best of luck
is this Morey plan? signing undraftee, showcase them in D-League then trade them for future 2nd pick?
Makes sense. We still have one man too many, but it was pretty obvious Covington wasn't going to make it.
