When one character calls the other on the phone and says, "Turn on the TV!" Second character always turns on the right channel and the news is always starting at the beginning of the breaking story so you know exactly what first character wanted you to learn.
The worst is they never show penetration in the sex scenes so we can't tell if its real or not. Usually doggy style scenes have some variant of skin slapping against eachother but I wanna see hardcore balls slapping.

When people being interviewed by police continue to work on whatever they were doing while answering questions about where they were during a murder or what have you. If cops were asking me about my whereabouts on the night of a murder, they're going to have my full attention. And/or such interviewees cutting the interview short with the cops so they can go do whatever menial task that'll get them offscreen -- and the cops taking it like chumps. I don't think real cops let you end conversations before they're done.

If the main character is from the FBI, the local cops are unsophisticated yokals. If the main character are local cops, the FBI are out of touch bureaucrats.
