You won't get anything. The Rubio situation is top secret and won't be disclosed to such casual insiders as yourself. Only deep insiders get the info. Only subscribers to basketballhollic's insider news letter will get the Rubio info at their weekly Thursday night Insider Google Hangout.
Mmmmmmmmmmmm, naw we don't want Harden in space. We want to pinch him down in the paint where he and Dwight can take on 4 defenders every possession and get the tar beat out of them for 82 games. And for sure don't get a stretch 4 to spread the floor so Jamesand Rubio can make plays. But rather have the 4 mash down in the paint after both Harden and Dwight are down there with 4 defenders so that every possession of every game is just a meat grinding scrum under the bucket.
I'm not sold on that poll as a true depiction of peoples thoughts on Rubio. The options are pretty much yes or no. No in between, or anything regarding price. I actually think that most people would like to have Rubio under certain circumstances. If they Rockets were able to get him on a trade package that actually puts them in a better situation to make trades afterwards... its a good deal. If it guts the team of quality assets that its a bad deal. If you answer yes or no you probably have some preconceived notion about those circumstances which vary depending on whoever you talk to. Trading for Rubio is 95% circumstantial and not black and white. The poll is flawed IMO, and is baited to create arguments that can be pulled in one direction or the other.
Thy jealousy bursteth forth from thine hands. Ensue delusions of Lillard and Rose until the Ruby ascendeth down upon thee and stealeth thy last remaining morsel of basketball virtue and casteth thee into the lake of blind passes reserved for those who are blind and cannot see the pass coming afar off until it strikes them in the liver.
OK - Here we go on Rubio. Rubios Agent is Jarinn Akana, WHO works for Relavitiy Sports... Whose boss is.... ... ... ... FEGAN!
Fair point. I hope that Rubio can improve as a shooter with time, but that's all it is right now.....hope. Jameer Nelson was Dwight's PG for most of his career. At the height of their time together in Orlando, Jameer shot 3.5 3s per game and made over 40% of them. Rubio isn't close to that volume or accuracy right now. Lowry really was perfect for this team. He would've complimented Harden and Howard very well. My hope is that Canaan has some of that in him. He's aggressive to the rim, can get hot from three, and is a willing passer. I'm actually at the point where if we can't get Dragic, I say we pass on the others. We don't know what we have at PG yet, but there's a good enough chance that one of Beverley, Canaan, Johnson, or Llull becomes good enough to be a long term solution at PG. Power forward is a different matter. I think we've seen enough from DMo and TJones to know what they aren't (though we may not know what they are). DMo is not a shooter. I think eventually he will become a good defensive 4 with a post game. TJones has Paul Millsap upside, but we probably won't see him at that level for another 2 to 3 years. My hope is that one of Atlanta or Portland has a down year, and we are sitting with tons of assets close to the trade deadline to make a run at Al Horford or Lamarcus Aldridge.
Baited?!?! Dude, I had no agenda other than to see how folks felt. And I had no comment.... Yes, a straight yes or no question that would stimulate conversation (hopefully) dobro - I used to feel in synch with your posts and now it seems you are ALWAYS going out of your way to proclaim the opposite of whatever I have to say. This was such a benign deal, but illustrates how far things have strayed. I wish I had never started sharing what I heard, because this sucks.
