The national media will be forced to care if the rockets actually become a legitimate threat. Until them they will continue to hate because thats what they want to do anyways. Oh, and as far as the spurs are concerned they did just win a championship. Yes I know parker and duncan DEFINITELY didn't do it on their won but still
na...they don't deserve it yet. all those duos have taken their teams farther. BUT just because they aren't on there doesn't mean they won't be on there in the future.
Don't get me wrong. I'm psyched to see them grow. The media and their promos are usually a year behind things happening on the court
Eh, if you think about it, Parker and Duncan are there cause they just won the championship, and if it was Harden and Dwight on there instead of Rose and Noah, there wouldn't have been a single Eastern conference team. The only team I could see the Rockets having replaced would have been Griffin and Paul, and the average fan gets more excited by those two than by Dwight and Harden.
But there's respect for a guy like Beverley who has exceeded expectations. It just means expectations have been set high for them and they have to reach or exceed them to gain respect.
Looking at this made me realize we still got a ways to go to be best in the west. I think harden and Howard are as good of a duo as you need in this league. But the spurs and thunders 3rd best player and 4th best player are so much stronger than ours.
