Looking around the division what are we expecting to see? I think the Colts are the tops in the division still but I don't see them as invincible just the best of a bad division. I think every team is in it and can win the division we will know more by Week 6 or 7 Tennessee - I don't even know what the hell they rolling out at QB this year Depending on Fitzie this person could be the worse QB in the division according to some Bortles is already ahead of Fitzie or close to it. If Bortles is the truth . . .the Jags will still be the Jags What should I expect from the division . . .anyone see anything worth noting? Rocket River
I think the AFC South is especially weak this year, 9 wins could realistically be all it takes to win it for whatever team pulls it off.
The two worst divisions maybe overall, but definitely defensively, play each other this year. Should be good football.
If you compare Fitz stats with Schaubies, you could argue Fitz has been better. I think this team will go right back to where it was in 2011. Something feels right with this coaching staff. I never had that feeling with Kubes or Capers. A "Disciplined" football team would be something new in Houston.
Starts there Where do you rank the Running backs Hell I dunno if i can name any on the other teams now Chris Johnson move on or he still in Tennesse? MJD is out of the Jags I think . . . . . . Texans will have the best running game in the division? Where do we rank in Defense? Rocket River
The Colts have Trent Richardson who is basically a draft bust Chris Johnson is a Jet I think MJD is a Raider. The Texans have by far the best RB situation in the division and probably the best defense in the division as well although there could be some competition from the Jags and Titans if the Texans defense isn't as good as it should be.
I laughed when someone told me this: "The difference between Schaub and Fitzmagic...Fitz passes have more zip too it making interceptions harder to catch. Schaub throws ducks in the air, so more likely able to return interceptions to the house."
Colts won't be that much better than us but they have an uncanny ability to eek out comebacks and close wins so they will probably win the division.
I am blowing caution and logic to the wind and saying the Texans win the division by tieing Indy with a 9-7 record and somehow winning the tie breaker. Oilers in third, Jags bring up the rear. I have no idea how this could happen, but it might. Fitz will not be the QB by the end of the season.
I think the Colts have a terrible roster, but they have the best QB in the division so that makes up for it.
A bunch of bad teams is what I'm expecting... Colts will probably win the division but I'm not convinced there any good. Jags are the jags And the Titans are doomed since their QB can't stay on the field. I think we are in the easiest division in the NFL so it will be a shame if we don't win at least 4 games within the division.
Colts: 11-5 (6-0 division) Texans: 8-8 (3-3 division) Titans: 7-9 (2-4 division) Jags: 5-11 (1-5 division)
I think the Jags are going to be better than you guys are expecting. They got better at QB (especially if Bortles plays), WR, and DLine.
They got better at QB? Bortles has looked great against the 2's and 3's sure. But so did TJ Yates and Case Keenum last year.
