Because he's a coach, how often to coaches speak in absolutes like that? Again, why would anyone "jump on" Mallett? In your mind is he a good QB? On the field he isn't.
Patriots want a first rounder for Mallet. Good luck with that. http://www.givemesport.com/493354-n...medium=outbrain-rss&utm_campaign=outbrain-rss
Patriots logic: We drafted him in the third round, He hasn't done a damn thing for us., we are trying to replace him with a 2nd rounder in a bad QB class... Hell lets ask for a first rounder!
Ok how do we know if he is good or not. There is not a lot of NFL footage out there on this young fella Mr. Bobby.
lol a first rounder.. When hes on the verge of being cut.. The best they will get is a 6 or 7th if not hes getting cut.. plain and simple.. Lets just wait this out
Video is pretty hard to come by, but this is his fourth preseason, so it's out there. In the regular season he's thrown 4 passes, one of those were picked off. I guess terrible isn't the right way to describe Mallett, unimpressive is a better way.
He's not terrible. He's just not starting QB material at this point in his career. Besides value at their pick, I'm pretty sure there's a reason the Pats took Garappolo in the 2nd round. Brady isn't getting any younger (damn near 40) so someone has to be groomed to become his predecessor. And it sure as hell won't be Mallet. That says a lot.
This is Mallett’s last year of his contract so the Patriot are doing him a favor. Brady plans on playing until he is 40 so why hold onto Mallett who will be 30+ by then.
A first round pick? Anything at this point for Mallett would be wicked awesome. I dont think O'B is a buyer for this mediocre thug.
