It seems like the posters in this thread treat the NBA like Little League. Everybody gets orange slices and juice boxes after the game. If the players on the team don't care about what Harden said then why do the "fans" care? If I'm not mistaken Harden showed up at Summer League to support the "role players". Seems more like Harden haters out for blood. At least I hope it is. Because you grown men in here can't be this soft. Or can you?

 

Morey and Harden have made DMo talk about himself as if he as a piece of asset. This is the evil of Morey.

 

Fans care because clearly Harden and Howard are the leaders of the team. This kind of comment from Harden shows that hes not a good leader. And what did you expect the other guys to say, they are role players, they will toe the company line because they don't have the talent to go wherever they want. But ask yourself this, would you speak out against the cultural values of your company, even though you don't believe in it or agree with it? Would you fight for someone who disrespect you? Leadership matters.

 

He didn't disrespect them. You just called them role players too. They are! What is there to be butthurt about? When the Rockets lose everybody blames Harden and Howard. Fair or not. The role players get a pass because they are role players. Morey saying they are looking for a 3rd star implies they are role players too. And Ariza, Dorsey, Adrien, Johnson, and Capela have signed here under these conditions willingly. And Ariza has come here twice. You are weak minded if you think this is such a travesty. Gimme a break.

 

Harden's advanced statistics in OKC destroy Parsons.

Parsons also got nearly 40 minutes a game and was the recipient of doubles to Dwight or Harden. No way was Houston holding him back.

Parsons is a very good role player but nothing more. The eye test shows he cannot create for himself and it is backed up by the advanced statistics.

 

Good leaders or not they are the leaders of this team.

Not the best PC statement to make but that is the truth and is directed at a ex-teammate that got "dis" because the team was looking for another star and he though he be the man.

CP made yet turn out to be a star but that is a bet DM will not make.

Well he got his prize, hurt the Rockets in the process so he won this battle. But at what cost? Only way he gets out smelling like a Rose is if CP is indeed a star, maybe help lead them to WCF or more. Anything else then he just paid max/near max for a good role player.
