This is our 3rd year of keepers now right? So we can't keep the same player again if we've already kept him the past 2 seasons?
So I was reading last year's thread. Apparently this year we will forfeit a draft pick that corresponds to the round we selected our keeper in. I originally drafted Jimmy Graham in like the 8th round. I can't keep him this year I guess since I already kept him the past 2 seasons. I guess the question becomes, if I trade him to somebody else and that person keeps Jimmy Graham, will that team only have to forfeit an 8th round pick? (Get ready for your daily headaches Rook)
We have always been allowed to trade anyone on our roster for future picks. My question is pretty straight-forward but does require a little bit of thought. Perhaps you are right though, maybe once a keeper player has reached the end his 2 year handcuff, he is automatically cast back into the draft pool. I will wait to hear from Rook.
I didn't read anything into last year's thread about keepers being 2 year limited. I guess that stuff needs to be hashed out. I did read that it was still up in the air on 1 vs 2 keepers. Is that decided yet?
I kind of agree with Ziggy that adding more than 1 keeper kind of dilutes the thrill of the draft when most of the good players are already gone. I'd vote for keeping the keepers at 1.
I agree with this. Rather just have 1 keeper. I can't find it but i thought we all agreed upon that last year.
I want 3 keepers now. Let Sam keep the entire Broncos, they sucked anyways. He likes that franchise because any one of the former players on that team could be his father, he just wouldn't have a clue where to start to find out.
How about if we decide to keep someone we picked up off the waiver wire during the season? Do we still have to forfeit a draft pick? If so, which?
The wives own half your team, so for the whipped owners don't forget to consult your better half on the keeper. I traded for Drew Brees. I'll be glad to keep him. Game on!
