I like Battier, and he is a much better individual defender than Parsons, but he played on way better defensive teams than Parsons in his career and that's why his is better.

I mean to be clear Battier is a good defender and Parsons is not, but Parsons DRTG would also look good if he played on some of those elite defensive teams. Rockets were insanely good even post-JVG, Hollins Grizz, Heat with the Riley/Spoelstra trapping defense. Not a good stat is all I'm saying.

I'd say they're about the same. Parson's was lucky to be in a good system. But defensively, Battier was much better.

You can only say dirk would be the only 100% starter on our team ouch.....

Parsons would have to fight it out with ariza and the rest would have no chance

Have to give credit to the maker of this. Well done.

Except for Dirk who is still borderline elite, good players but not great

    Pretty alright to good players.

Harris - above average but not the guy he was once
Monta - good to very good
    Parsons - good
    Dirk - still very good
    Tyson - above average

Can you break it down like this for the rockets?

I can do that for the starters but I am hoping we see some improvement at PG and PF. (Rondo or Love, Millsap, Horford)

Beverley - pretty decent to good allround PG, Offense could be better
Harden - very good but not great (show us some D, Beard!)
Ariza - above average to good player (should be more than contract yr)
TJones - good player or solid player in the new season
Dwight - Best C in the game - fairly great (mediocre among the best Cs in history though)

I think our young bench will get better and get the better of Dallas.

I pretty much think Parsons is about the same as Ariza in terms of what they bring to the teams,
Ariza having already played in Houston and would not need much time to adjust. Parsons has to though.

It is pretty much Dirk over TJones which gives us a 4-2 advantage.

Mavs are overrated. Rockets are the better team and have the batter starting 5 besides Dirk.

Mavs have a huge edge in coaching. They have a top 3 at worst top 5 coach in Carlisle compared to the Rockets who have a bottom 3 if not the worst coach in the NBA in the pathetic, clueless joke that is McHale

Ariza - more perimeter D, steals and rebounds
Parsons - more points, more assists, more glue

True. I was evaluating players only.

Monta was pretty good in efficiency for them last season, I agree the GSW and Bucks Monta was probably only above average at best.

Honestly if not for Carlisle these guys barely make the playoffs. Individually these guys are poor defenders but Carlisle can make a real defense out of them anyway. Offensively that's an impressive team - Nowitzki, Ellis and Parsons can score. Tyson gets tons of putbacks.

They'll compete for top 5 IMO. If we don't get a great defensive coach we'll struggle to stay above them.

LOL, right? That banner makes them look like they're suffering from hemorrhoids and just ate too much jalapeno cheese bread.
