Of course he'd say that either way though. Unfortunately, it'll end up a political football, I'm sure, with people sympathetic to the Russians suspecting the Ukrainians and vice-versa. I'd like to assume that no one would have shot it down on purpose if they knew what it was (which may be assuming too much), so I have to suspect the least professional outfit out there. The Russians wouldn't have made that screw-up, but I think Ukrainian government might be only a hair more competent than the separatists. Either of them could have screwed it up.
BTW, this particular plane usually has a lot of passengers with different nationalities on-board. A lot of countries are going to be pissed off.
Apparently this is normal and they weren't the only ones to fly through this air corridor. I think the reasoning was that only nation-states can afford the sophisticated SAM systems needed to shoot down airliners flying at 30K+ feet.
Two times for Malaysian Airlines this year. Maybe someone is trying to KILL THE PRIME MINISTER OF MALAYSIA. Too soon?
If the tail fell 10 miles away from the main wreckage, I'd be interested to know if the rebels actually have both black boxes.
If the terrorists have the plane's black box, the odds are very good that it'll either be "lost" in the confusion of war (most likely, in my opinion), or tampered with. My guess is that these are very hard to tamper with, but if anyone could, Russia would be one of those with the ability, in my opinion.
So it could have been either Russian separatists or Ukranian. Well this is going to get maddening and muddy real quick.
Could somebody do a layman style explanation on these rebels and crap? Normalus, you have some explaining to do.
Not sure why the black box is super important in this instance. Still important, but not nearly as important as other crashes. There should be lots of intel on the area. It's been confirmed as a BUK missile from the border area. Not 100% sure which side... which matters a bit, but it is still ultimately "Russia"... if you ask me. Also, the rebels seem to have very clearly admitted to having done it. So the question that remains is now just one of did the rebels claim responsibility (via their version of twitter) at the behest of another organization, or not actually do it but were "hacked" in some way. All of which seems very improbable. It's not logical that Russia, the rebels, or anyone would have been purposefully targeting a civilian 777...
We know who did it. One of the dumbarse rebels posted on his whatever facebook-like page that they just downed an aircraft they thought was a different plane...like a military transport Ukraine plane or something (AN-26?). Even had videos of the crash in his post...the same videos shown on the news. But, once the dipsh_t realized it was an airliner they shot down, he promptly removed his post but not before it was captured and archived. Then, they posted how they were not responsible and pointed at the Ukraine govt. The Internet caught the lie. No way to get out of that one. These idiots are so quick to claim responsibility for the downing of an airplane they don't care about confirming what they shot down first. Well...as we know...you can't backtrack on the Internet very easily if at all. https://ca.news.yahoo.com/evidence-...ing-mh17-195900972.html?bcmt=comments-postbox
