Not so quick.

I've been told that Morey did not have a done deal for Lin and was still talking to several teams. Remained confident he can make the moves.
— Jonathan Feigen (@Jonathan_Feigen) July 11, 2014

Eff that bad contract. The Rockets need to somehow keep the Pelicans pick too.

If Lin was paid 1.5 million, very few people would have such animosity.

    Good person but mediocre player.

His lunatic fan base made the board almost unreadable. I feel sorry for Philly fans

always rooted for him, definitely think he is a viable player in the league assuming its the right fit (ie not with another ball dominant guard) but man those fans... literally the biggest beatdown in all of sports.

the sooner they leave the better and god help whatever existing fanbase they fall upon next.

If you think of it as trading that pick for Bosh, then it is not so bad.

    Good luck Lin.

Umm... Harden was going to sign the extension no matter what, because 1) he wanted to get paid max money and 2) we were the only team offering it.

The Harden stuff was obviously speculation and may be false but if we didn't have a point guard as competent as Lin we wouldn't have made the playoffs and wouldn't have been in the Dwight race. We made the playoffs by 1win that season and Lin carried the scoring load nicely in games where Harden couldn't play.

Do we really need an appreciation thread for every player that comes and goes during the Morey era?

Easy come, easy go. You guys are WAY too sentimental.

Harden came for the money. Not Lin.

Loved him. Great team guy. Fantastic for chemistry. Hard working. Had some huge games for us. Got overshadowed by the salary and annoying fans.
