I think with much attention paid to Dwight, Nosh could get 12-15 rebounds a night on accident

 

1. But are we not trading Lin regardless??? Lin is simply not a good basketball player, so we need to trade him because he adds almost nothing outside of the cap hit.

2. I don´t believe in SnT after the new CBA. Aren´t they very rare nowadays?

One reason we might not trade Lin Regardless is because other teams (Sixers) are reportedly looking for future 1st round picks to take on Lin's salary

 

Plus with Bosh you keep Parsons, your MLE, and a ton of other assets (whatever we don't lose to move Lin).

 

Bosh would be a great get. His output in Miami was hugely distorted because his role was to burn energy on the blitzing defense and recovering to the paint. On offense, he could not have been relegated to a smaller role.

On the rockets, what do we need? A long defensive four who can credibly guard Aldridge, Dirk, griffin, who can slide into the backup five role when Dwight needs a breather or gets into foul trouble, who can hit midrange to three, who can provide an option on offense when needed.

bosh is a Swiss Army knife for this team that would easily be worth the max. Get bosh and bring back parsons and we can roll. I will take that right now and possibly over melo.

We have all been b****ing about how we need defense more than anything. He provides that more than melo to love.

 

Gasol at least plays in the paint and has a post up game. Bosh just likes to camp out at the 3 point line and shoot 3s.

Besides, you don't need to offer the max to sign gasol.

 

Plus we could still keep TJones who, given enough time, could eventually replace Bosh.

That is one of the reasons Bosh is a better fit, because the best Love skill is not a Rockets need, we need defense and well....

 

Yes, but Lin's contract is necessary for any trade where we take on a max contract. For example, if we're getting Love, then Lin will allow us to take on extra $5mil in salary from Minnesota. And let us keep our MLE to sign someone.

The usage of Lin's contract differs depending on the goal of the team. If we trade Lin for capspace now, we lock ourselves out of many trade possibilities. This is why everything is currently speculation.

 

They don't compare on defense either and Bosh actually took his team to the playoffs as the lead dog with no other all-stars.

We will not trade Lin just to trade him. If there are no others moves to make, we'll let him expire (or more likely trade him at the deadline when we already paid him over half of his salary) before losing assets and doing nothing. We could also need his salary for matching purposes in a Love type trade.

The sign and trade route is rare because it used to give the player incentive and no longer does, but teams still view them the same way. If we can sign a guy outright and he agrees to come here, we should still at least offer up a mutually beneficial (if possible) sign and trade, whether it's likely or not.

 

Yeah, but in the absolutely horrendous east. If the wolves were in the Leastern conference they would have been in the playoffs most years of Love's time there.

 

Go all out on Lebron, but in a subtle way. I understand the Carmelo want, but i am not so sure it works out in Houston. I wont be disappointed if he doesn't choose the Rockets. As a matter a fact, maybe he should go to the Knicks if he enjoys living in NYC.
