New show on TNT, debuted last night on 6-22-2014. Basic premise is that a navy destroyer is stationed in Antarctica where a virologist is secretly working on a cure for a devastating disease. When the ship makes contact with the known world again, 80% of the population is dead or dying. This ship now carries the only hope for a cure and must stand alone against the world. Who watched in? Reviews?
I laughed at the previews about how stupid I thought it looked. However, as GOT is over, I had nothing to watch last night so I gave it a chance and... I liked it. Thought it was pretty good. I will keep watching this season. Assuming this is a one season show? Or will they drag it out forever? Plus Rhona Mitra is hot
It was OK. I'd give the pilot a 6 or 7/10. It's interesting enough that I'll give it a few more episodes before making a final decision.
I must admit that I posted in this thread before watching the full episode. I knew there were just too many Black people on this show.. I've watched enough TV to know that one black person has a good chance of surviving when there is death about. Two, MAYBE. Three or more, GTFO. See, now I'm mad.
And you know what sucks? The guy who died had more personality than anyone on the show.. ok I'm done now, sorry.
Rhona Mitra in anything makes it an instant watch on list, going to check it out sometime this week. Good to hear it's actually decent.
We watched the pilot on the dvr last night, that's a damn fine looking TV show. The milf is cool, the captain is cool, the ship is cool, the premise is cool.
Watched it off the DVR. Liked it for a pilot. Pilots for a show like this are tough because that have to give you all the underlying mechanics of the world you are about to watch unfold so they can feel a little crammed at times. Still enjoyed it enough to watch going forward. Only one scene was overly cheesy Michael Bay.
What's sweeter is a 4 guys on Jet Skis taking out armored helicopters with snipers on each side without a single one catching a bullet.
