5 IP, 3ER, 2K's... not great, but its actually an improvement.

Get him out, let him leave on a somewhat + note.

Could it really be an endurance thing? Is this guy just out of shape and doesn't recover fast enough to pitch every fifth day?

Or maybe the sporadic work is part of the problem.

They just have to keep running him out there on normal rotation, whatever normal rotation is down there. He'll get better or he won't, don't baby him.

That's why I'd rather he just go up to Corpus... the competition is not vastly better there (better than what he faced in college, but most bad cali league pitchers put up semi-better numbers once they're out of there).

At this point, its just a change of scene thing... much like what happens when pitchers get out of colorado (at least that's the hope). Get him in a better routine in a better league, closer to Houston... just try to minimize the extraneous variables as much as possible.

Go to ****ing Cubland, fellate your goats, love an old chiseler dropping drunken unintelligible racist bombs, blow up your baseballs with some ****ty spaghetti,, get drunk and ignore the game because "the bleachers are cool!!!", watch Leon Durham try to play Little League 1B in the biggest game of his life, see Prior and Wood blow out their arms, watch Alou jake an easy inning and blame it on a fan, cheer rabidly for The Sammy Sosa Clown Show... Seriously, **** The Cubs.

"Improvement" isn't a good word to describe it. That implies positivity.

It's simply "less terrible" than his last couple outings. Still a ****ty start.

    From the urban dictionary:

    cubs
the "lovable losers", nobody really loves them. the team isn't that bad, it's just their annoying, obnoxious fans that make the team so bad.
1: Did you see the Cubs game last night?
2: Nah, did they win? Oh yah forgot we're talkin about the Cubs
1: **** YOU THE CUBS ARE THE BEST TEAM EVER ITS JUST THEIR MANAGER AND THE STUPID OWNER AND insert one of the many reasons why the cubs suck. DONT MESS WITH MY CUBBIES
2: damn, calm down. God i hate cubs fans.

So you aren't annoyed by the post that so and so prospect is better in the minors? It's annoying, because nobody here could care less how Kris Bryant is doing? You know why? Because he isn't in the Astros minor league system. Guess what this thread is about? The astros minor league affiliate.

If you click "back" on your browser you will find a sub forum entitled "other sports". You can post updates on baseball players not associated with the Houston Astros there.

    Thank you.

    A negative what?

Hey, idiot, obviously that post was to enlighten the Chicago fan about how K.Bryant is really doing, but you go ahead and continue saving the world one thread at a time.
