I'm surprised they didn't add yellow to the secondary logo. I've noticed that Rockets fan gear have a lot of retro elements like yellow being so prominent. The Astros did the same thing before they switched back to the modernized H-star. They put a bunch of retro gear out on the market before the logo was revealed. I was hoping the Rockets were following suit.
Meh...not a fan..I am growing tired of the faux asian theme. I now we have a huge huge Chinese market but seriously it's about time to just put this jersey, logo, etc to bed.
That's irrelevant. They weren't "dressing like champions" before they became champions. Yet they were able to win it all. It's just clothes.
Oh, you mean the uniforms they wore when they were Division Champs in 1977, Conference champions in 1981 and 1986? And by the way, which one of these looks out of place?
The only championship juju is with that uniform. I sat in the same position every Rockets game when they won their championships. I stopped, and now we haven't won one. I tried sitting in that position again this year, and we lost. I think we need both things that the universe demands to happen. My sitting position AND the jerseys. That formula is 2-for-2
This isn't a re-brand, its a secondary logo. It's a deviation of the current identity, not a departure. If they went full ketchup and mustard, it wouldn't be a secondary logo. As a secondary logo, its not bad. I like it better than the standalone "r" paint-drip logo.
I washed my ass with Zest soap when the Rockets won their championships. I switched to Dove and they haven't won since. I bet that's the real reason why.
Selling out to the Communists Les? I know you want to sell to red China but last I checked, the fans that attended your games were mostly Americans. How about a little patriotism. This crap really blows and has gotten old.
