http://grantland.com/features/24-lingering-questions-from-the-nba-finals/ Just a small tidbit in Bill Simmons'article on the Finals. He claims that Lebron wouldn't come to Houston because he would look like a sellout, but has a good chance to go to LAC. Why would he look like a sellout going to the Rockets but not the Clippers? I don't really agree with Simmons' take, but just wanted to share.
Because he's a complete homer and honk for the teams that he likes, and doesn't care about how he looks. He's a phenomenal writer, and a great personality for the everyday fan, but he also pushes his agendas without any hesitation. He's a Clipper season-ticket holder, so I wouldn't doubt for one second that this is his motivation to write that piece.
He is an idiot, "He’d look like a sellout for going to Houston." but he wouldn't look like one going to the Clippers?
And Kevin Love is going to Boston And Joel Embiid will be steered to Boston or LA And Yao Ming will buy the Clippers Boston, LA, Boston, LA, blah blah blah
I love BS but I don't think he is much of a news breaker. He is a Celtics homer and a Clippers homer because he is stuck in LA and hates the Lakers.
Lebron James is already a sell-out and he has been one for 4 years. Lebron James is not the best player in the world, Kevin Durant is and Lebron James is not Michael Jordan. I would rather have Kevin Love if we could get him.
I hate Bill Simmons. Ever since he got his own show on ESPN his ego has shot through the roof. He's already pissed off Magic, Sage Steele hates him. Him and Jalen are obnoxious. Give me Inside the NBA with Kenny, Charles, Ernie, and Shaq for every single game.
Melo can't play with a ball dominant guard so he'll choose Chicago over Houston! Lebron would look like a sellout forming a superteam in Houston, so he'll form one in LA! Dwight wants the spotlight so he'll never leave LA!
what do y'all think the chances are we hear the Seth Rollins "You sold out" chant at the next Houston Vs. Miami game?

I like Bill Simmons a lot. But yeah, all of these "arguments" that people use to steer LBJ away from Houston are dumb. They just present dumb reasons compared to the other teams for which they place LBJ. If James stays in Miami than so be it. But in terms of ROSTER and READY MADE...not being a homer here, but Houston is in the best position.
I know they wouldn't be the best team, but a big 3 of Dragic, LeBron and mini-LeBron (Bledsoe) would be awesome.
